And I read that the "early entrance" of either John or Denny singing alone the "I Saw Her" lyric at the 2:40 -2:44 mark in this link you posted - - I can't tell if it's John or Denny -- but the early entrance is indeed a mistake but the group liked it and left the mistake in! I love that! :)
Yes. you're in -- I'm in - -- everyone is in! Or, at least, they should be! :) This one seems to be their signature song I'd think. They sound so good! Always!
To me Monday Monday is their signature song. I sang in a group in high school and we did the M & Ps stuff. It was fun. Of course we didn't do the songs justice, but its a nice memory.
This song I heard only after really delving into their catalogue of songs! But like all of their sings - - I love it! And Denny, to Cass' right, so often to me, in filmed performances like this, has some adorably sort-of-awkward-looking stances and movements. But he makes them all work for him adorably! Thanks for adding a great song to my 'non-question-Mamas-and-Papas-statement,' so to speak, JaneS! :)
Thanks, ALF! The day I posted this, I had heard, by chance, two songs by them on the radio. And I thought, " Music for me rarely gets better than this! The Mamas and The Papas sound like no one else to me and their sound remains, to me, very fresh." And I posted my "statement" later that day. :)
Good points, there, Shar to the Rona. I read a couple of books about the group. Papa John -- yes, what a talent!! And what a bundle of layers to him to be sure. I think they were practically "over" by the time they "arrived."
(Shar to the Rona -- I am simply hopeless -- I also find Denny and John both really attractive! No man is immune from my "Hey, You're Attractive Eyes")

The guys still do it for me! Is this one of those "Love Is Blind" things for me? But I didn't even know them, so I could not love these two guys. But the more I see them the more I like them Ha! Funny- - John's height and body type, and, yes, his nose -- I like those characteristics of him! Even this picture you posted -- they look good! In fact, it's a great portrait of all four of them! Thanks for posting it! :)

I really loved them, but they just fizzled. Too much hard living at too young of an age.
