I don't give up when I have no choice.   I use the towels now for my massage practice.  No throwing them in, I made lemonade.

I am not one to give up on people easily.. indeed I keep trying to a fault... there are a few people at work I have entirely given up on...  I gave them chances...they blew it repeatedly... there are others I am still working on :P

You are far more patient than I am Addb. Only a couple of times have I kept going back thinking "this time it will be different" and it never is. That is my fault entirely for being a sap/sucker. But mostly? People get one chance and that sets the tone for future interactions. I might ignore them for awhile and then check back to see if anything has changed and usually it is sameoldsameoldsameold. I'm too old to waste my time giving hostile folks chances at my time. That takes me away from the folks from whom I can learn things, share things, enjoy the time spent. I am very selective thes days. Very. I think you are a very kind person who is hopeful that perhaps your influence and caring will matter enough to them. Thank you for your thughtful reply! :)
