Hypothetical Q- has the following quote proven to be true in your case?

I don't think I like that last part (being a better woman should be primarily for yourself, right?), but I see this as similar to "everything happens for a reason" and "good things come from tough experiences".

Bad sh*t happens to all of us. We decide what happens next.

Sorry, but I couldn't even get past the missing apostrophe.

Not sure I understand what "A mans purpose in a woman's life" mean. (shouldn't "mans" have a possessive apostrophe too? (man's))

Anyway, that have never been my purpose, and AFAIK never been the purpose of a woman I was dating).

Nope, not experienced that..... quite the opposite is true I believe.. sometimes a man's purpose is to learn until he gets it right for the next woman :P

Couldn't the exact same thing be said of a woman's purpose in a man's life, or in the case of same-gender couples, one person's purpose in another person's life?
(I think I just killed Veena's bit here.)

Yes, indeed, you are correct. I was addressing what I felt was an imbalance in the statement... so I evened it up...  but yes, of course the same can be said of women.  I think ultimately I would kinda reject the whole idea of someone being a purpose in one's life... I do think we grow and learn as we go along and we hopefully improve and don't make the same mistakes again... but I am not sure the idea of one person leaving one's life and leaving behind a supposedly better man or woman sits comfortably with me.

PS as you know I did put a :P which meant that when I wrote it, it was tongue in cheek and was said with humour :)

PPS, no man could possibly teach me anything to help me become a better woman for another man... since I happen to already be perfect :P
