I think the term "Mighty" here means the decimation of all countries that England can conquer.
Land of Hope and Glory, Mother of the Free, How shall we extol thee, who are born of thee? Wider still and wider shall thy bounds be set; AND JUST WHAT DO YOU THINK THAT MEANS????? God, who made thee mighty, make thee mightier yet, God, who made thee mighty, make thee mightier yet.

It's true, most countries are older, but most national anthems are fairly recent. Most of them date from the 19th century or later with the rise of the nation-state.
Rather misleading question, E. Pretty much every nation has some sort of blood-thirsty lyrics...
Algeria We swear by the lightning that destroys, By the streams of generous blood being shed... ...So we have taken the noise of gunpowder as our rhythm And the sound of machine guns as our melody... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPRG7jQqMl4
France To arms, citizens... Frenchmen, as magnanimous warriors, Bear or hold back your blows! Spare those sorry victims, Who arm against us with regret. (repeat) But not these bloodthirsty despots, These accomplices of Bouillé, All these tigers who, mercilessly, Rip their mother's breast! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4K1q9Ntcr5g
Vietnam Our flag, red with the blood of victory, bears the spirit of our country The distant rumbling of the guns mingles with our marching song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SceSkkRtC2s
...And then there's Canada With glowing hearts we see thee rise...
Yeah, that's as dark as the Canadians get. lol I was a little surprised it didn't mention maple syrup or hockey. :p
But, there are more. Most countries talk about blood, war, and gore in their anthems- just not rockets.
