    Actually you can "catch" some types of cancers. The HP virus is transmitted through physical contact and it can cause a number of cancers: cervical, uterine, anal, certain throat cancers. Fortunately there's now a vaccine for that one. Lets hope that that vaccine actually works over time without causing any nasty side effects. (It's only been around for about a score of years.)
