I did, and that's precisely the change I made. I don't like to count the number of times I was weak - but I beat the gaspers in the end.

((hugs))  ((hugs))  ((hugs)) Good for you m2c! Proud of you I am! I do indulge in alcolholic drinks. Moderately. I never smoked and we stopped drinking soda a few years ago too. We drank the Hansen's diet gingerale  and usually shared a can every few days so it was not excessive. I LOVE bubbly water and so does Jim so we  drink juice with club soda. It's really good. The juice we drink is called V8 fusion plus energy. It comes in 8-0z cans in a six pack. It contains much less sugar than most juices. The flavors are peach mango, pomegranate blueberry, orange pineapple. They used to have a black cherry that was delicious but I think they discontinued it. The V8 fusion plus energy ALSO comes in the tomato juice variety. We drink that too. Thank you for your splendid reply!  :)

I quit drinking 21 years ago successfully. I quit smoking cigars 10 years ago, and have been quitting on and off ever since. Right now, i have been tobacco free for three months. That is, until I pick up another cigar. ;+

Don't know how many times I backslid before quitting smoking but it was lots.  Over a period of a few years between the ages of say 28 and 34.  Took me six or seven years.

I tried to quit smoking twice.  Then I went for a hypnotherapy session and the third time was a charm.  I have been smoke-free for 32 years now.
