    Minced pie should be illegal all year round.

    I think fruit cakes should be illegal.

    Nah, both are great if made properly. Bet you've only had that stuff sold by the big chain stores. Most of that stuff was made back in the '50's. People buy it, give it as gifts, the recipients return it after the holidays, it gets put into storage until the next holiday season and then the cycle repeats. That's why you have to soak them with rum if you are brave enough to try them.
