I don't get lonely. If I did I would not seek out a stranger for company. I would probably buy a book and go to my hotel or the beach or somewhere pleasant...even a diner or coffee shop. Meeting people in the course of one's day is one thing but "looking" for someone to meet is creepy.
If I am feeling alone, I connect with the Source. We are NEVER alone and we ultimately are all alone with other humans even if we are in the middle of sex or in a crowded room. Meaning, we are not aware of everything the other person is thinking. We only know what WE are thinking. So, that said, we go within and we stop the thoughts. STOP THE THINKING. The loneliness is GONE now. You are with the SOURCE that connects us to ALL to EVERYONE. That is where to be and your loneliness will never be satiated as long as you look outwards to be satisfied. Look within. All answers lie within. ALL IS WITHIN. No room for lonely.
I usually travel alone, but I'm heading somewhere where friends and I are going to meet up. I cannot recall the last time I felt lonely, but if I was, I would read or watch TV - not seek the company of a stranger either male or female.
