I was 7 or 8 years old and was scarfing down a ton of cranberry sauce at thanksgiving dinner. It all came back up and onto the table in front of family/guests. looking back on it is a little embarrassing.
The most embarrassing thing for me in a restaurant was when I was 22ish. I was dating someone new, and he took me to meet his parents who lived in another town. They took us to an Indian restaurant for dinner, which was a style of food I had never tried before . I remember reading the menu and asking what "mutton" is .. I think it was goat meat or something, blah :/ Anyway they knew I didn't eat any meat and ordered a bunch of dishes that came to table family style... I was eating one dish and guy I was dating's father said " I'm surprised you're eating that, it's mutton" so I spit it out :) didn't grab a napkin ... just kinda projectile spit it out on the table in disgust :) Then his dad looked at me shocked said " was just kidding, is a cheese dish" I wanted to crawl under that table and die... that guy ended up just a rebound relationship though... so was fine :)
We went to an expensive restaurant on the beach and I had shrimp. As I was trying to squeeze the last bit of meat out of the tail with my knife and fork, the knife lost its grip and the shrimp went flying over to the next table and hit some guy in the arm. We all laughed and looked over at him thinking he would laugh with us because it didn't leave a spot on his shirt or anything. He just glared back. What a poor sport, eh?
