Are we being programmed by political correctness, does the war on words mute us from speaking the truth?

Has political correctness become a form of muting people from speaking common sense and the truth, if we no longer have freedom of speech, then are we heading towards a totalitarian Marxist socialist agenda, why have people so suddenly become affected by words?

    The establishment want to censor anything contrary to their world view (including RT); it's heading towards totalitarianism, but not the Marxist Socialist version, more intolerant pseudo-liberalism.
