Is there a song you didn't particularly like until a certain artist/s performed her/his/their version of it?

I've always like Juice Newton. But I don't know this song.

Timi xxxx (can't remember) recorded it first in like the 50s/60s.  Then Bobby Vinton recorded it.  Then I think Elvis might have.  I recently heard the Juice Newton version and love it.  The video is stupid though.  I should have copied one of the videos that just had a picture of the album cover or something. 

I must have been in a sappy love mood -- my comments about the video were entirely positive. I liked the video but I like more your sharing your thoughts about the video, ha!

He makes a STRANGE take on all his stuff and some of it is the best stuff I ever listened to.  A lot I have not heard -- but I love the strange weird stuff I have heard.

EXACTLY!! I now LOVE this song, too! And her voice makes the "sounds-nothing-like-the-original-song" cover here sound so much better!
This is the way to make a cover - - make a totally different-sounding song. I lvoe when artists do that.

Me, too. Sharonna! I've done a complete turn-around on this song -- now that I know it's a cover to that Grease song - - I love it! It sounds nothing like the original.
