No. I mostly dont get many answers to my questions, so by the time I go back to see if anyone has answered, I comment on the answers or comments to comments to the answers to my question and....wait, I forgot what you asked. ;+

I'm confused.  I ask very few questions. Why, you might ask?  Well, I'm not sure really how to ask the question without having a comment but it has been done in the past. That would be me asking a question without gaining a comment which is why I rarely ask questions. This brings us back to your question which was "Do you comment on your own questions to get the answers you like?"  Well, if you didn't comment on your questions after you asked then you wouldn't know the answers some people might have and if you didn't get any comments from others who might wonder if you read their comments to your question, you might not have any one ever again  who would take the time to answer.
I would say it is in your best interest to comment under your questions under the answers people took to answer your question.  This way, the people who took the time to answer your question will know you took the time to acknowledge them.

Yes. I would suggest you do comment under your own questions.  It helps others know you saw they took the time to answer your question.  Manners, my dear Weylon.  Manners tell me Yes, you do.

Whether you like the answers you get isn't up to you.  That is the sole responsibility of the answerer..  The secret is in the wording of your question. This post was edited by Merlin at May 1, 2018 6:52 PM MDT

Adding a comment to my initial question-asking doesn't make a difference either way in the answers I get in my cases.

No that would be silly.  Questions are best answered by hearing different point of views  not just what I what to hear. Cheers!
