Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» To all you so-called "religious" folks out there. WWJD? What would Jesus do? D'ya think Jesus would vote for Roy Moore? Why?
Yup, and the Jesus of the Bible wouldn't vote for human officials that are ultimately against yielding to his reign. Just as the Jewish religious leaders of the 1st century didn't want to give up their power, authority and traditions in favor of Him, the political element of today is no more yielding.
EDIT: I meant yup to your 'no', not yup to the question in that Jesus would vote. (Wasn't sure if that was clear. lol)

I'm not religious. Culturally I'm a Jew. Religion is a bunch of gobbledy goop to me. HOWEVER, I find this question highly offensive Rosie. You're a very smart woman and I'm really glad that at your age, it's plain to see that you are still so sharp and quick witted. I actually love that about you. It gives me hope for myself. But, why are you going out of your way to wind up people who are religious? Honestly, it's not as if you're looking for a reasoned response from these people. It's rather mean spirited, especially at this time of year. Tonight is the first night of Hanukkah, and Christmas is just two weeks away.
Why am I still here answering questions? I'm really resenting this web site right now. :-(
I think your reaction is quite odd Harry. I don't know about you but what I find offensive are those who profess love for God and Jesus and quote bible verses and go to church a lot who are racists and bigots and pedophiles. Now you have a right to resent whatever/whomever you want. I don't question that. Yet you question my right to all attention to what I find offensive. I find that rather hypocritical. Different strokes. How you react to questions is entirely up to you. You should be here because you find value in interacting with other people. If you don't then you can leave. Thank you for your reply and Happy Wednesday!
Sorry you don't agree with or understand my response. Guess what? There are racists, bigots, and pedophiles who aren't churchgoing people. What I question is why you are specifically going after religious people. Why ask WWJD? How is my response to this hypocritical? You've posed a question that is specifically created to upset those people on here who are Christian and religious. I shouldn't have to be explaining this to you since that was your intention to begin with.
Oh, and thanks for letting me know I can leave Rosie. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
You should look up the term hypocrisy and familiarize yourself with it instead of playing a professional victim. If you cannot stand that people may have a different take than you then you shouldn't open your mouth to ask a question.
It's hilarious you mention " value interacting with other people" because you don't really do that here. You just post ramblings disguised as questions and then throw a temper tantrum and veiled insults at anyone who has an opinion and different take.

Jesus would forgive him - and probably gently suggest that he drop out. He wouldn't vote for a conservative regardless of sexual proclivities, He was a socialist.
The unbelievable happened. Roy Moore lost! The combination of Donald John and Steve Bannon backing him up is what took him down. Look for more to come. Oh boy. This is getting really juicy. Thank you for your reply Sbf.
Rosie, how can you know for sure why he lost? What if the reason he got as many votes as he did is because Trump and Bannon were able to convince a lot of people to vote for someone they didn't like as person? I'm not saying that's what happened but I am saying that it's possible that you don't have all the answers.
Why would you say that? Is there a verse where he said he supported socialism or any other form of mans political government? Jesus did not promote communism, capitalism, socialism, revolution or any other such philosophy. He taught that God will replace all present systems with the kingdom of God.
(Matthew 6:10) Let your Kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also on earth. (Daniel 2:44) “In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever, (John 18:36) Jesus answered: “My Kingdom is no part of this world. If my Kingdom were part of this world, my attendants would have fought that I should not be handed over to the Jews. But as it is, my Kingdom is not from this source.” (Psalm 2:1, 2) Why are the nations agitated And the peoples muttering an empty thing? 2 The kings of the earth take their stand And high officials gather together as one Against Jehovah and against his anointed one.
Jesus will not be voting....when He returns He will be reigning and ruling. He is not a socialist....socialists believe the government is responsible for taking care of the poor. Jesus said give unto Caesar what is Caesar's and unto God what is God's. So we pay are taxes. But God is our source not the government. If the poor need help it should be the church not the government.
