Yes, many times. I don't use food coloring though. This is what we use to thicken broth gravy....that is, gravy from broth rather than from grease/meat fat/flour. Ever since I was a little girl I've liked playing with it with a spoon before it gets poured into the pan to thicken up the gravy. I didn't know it had a name. Maybe we should call the gravy we make from roast drippings Oobleck Pork Gravy. Yeah. I like it.
