Full disclosure. I'm a cat person. You don't train cats. They train you. Are certain breeds of dogs trickier to train than others?
Are some breeds very calm and others high strung? Are there some you would never want to be around babies and some who would protect them? Inquiring minds would like to know.
Full disclosure. I'm a dog person, cats are EVIL b@$tards.
Jack Russell terriers can be tough to train. You have to let them know who's boss from the get go, otherwise they will try to dominate you. Rotties are also tricky, there isn't a better breed as an adult dog but Rottweiler pups destroy EVERYthing.
Opinionated a bit are we? My claws are out n ow. Dogs are a pain in the arse. They require your attention 24/7. That spittle all over you and slather with their tongues. EWE! YUCK. You have to walk them so they don't poop in the house. They live for your presence and attention. Cats are independent. Which is why their affection is all that much more precious. Dogs are not evil bastards except possibly pittbulls. They just are so NEEDY they are annoying to be around. They bark a lot. Cats are very silent. I like silence. I'm not a fan of noisy. Thank you for the part of your reply that answered my question. Your biased and quite mean opinion of cats you can take back. It is not welcome here.
I have an American Staffy and I'm sure there's some pit in her due to her size, she's huge. She's also the biggest sook you ever met, actually TOO affectionate. She lets me know when someone she doesn't know is around, that's a good thing. Who ever heard of a watch cat? Cats won't lift a paw to stop an intruder from robbing you blind, a dog will protect your life with its own if necessary. I don't have a lot of time for selfish people ... or selfish pets. Cats are the epitome of selfishness.
