NO! I used to use for that purpose. Then I had to call someone. And he yell at me " I stripped the head" I'm not sure about what that means ... but I do remember the argument.
Well ... you're not supposed to do it, but people do. Using the wrong tool for a job is a good way to hurt you and/or the job. (don't worry, you'll get it) :)

I have a metal stand with a hole in the center that fits a wooden T-Mop stick (without the mop) to use for my bird stand. The hole in the metal is just a little too big to fit the slightly smaller wooden stand in, so I use a butter knife to lodge it into the hole between the stick and the stand. Works great. ;)
