At Christmas time it is acceptable to use 'fir' because of the widespread use of 'fir' trees. I have lots of fir trees growing wild out back, and it is snowing and the fir trees make good shelter for the birds.

It is not acceptable for the Mug's self-appointed grammar police.  :) This post was edited by Bozette at December 24, 2017 2:11 PM MST

I think he did it on purpose...for much needed attention.

Are you trying to give him an out?  No, when he does it on purpose it is either a pun or it is easily recognizable from the context.  He makes mistakes from time to time, too.

Spruce trees are often found in civilized places, while 'for' trees are usually found on golf courses.

If your blueberries are green, you need to throw them away in unused plastic bin/bag liners. If someone is already occupying them, send them an eviction notice pronto.

The question is:  What is something that you do not want anyone to know about you? This post was edited by CallMeIshmael at December 24, 2017 8:53 PM MST

    What do you want?

That has at times been hard for me.  I always know what I don't want but sometimes it's hard to know exactly what I want.  Once I know, you will not change my mind.
