Yes: I'm fascinated with never going there in the dead of winter, never going to anywhere with snow on the ground, never seeing snow again in my lifetime.
(Dusclaimer: Disclaimer: I was born and raised in a place that has about nine months of winter weather every year, and only three months of decent/warm weather. For the first eighteen years of my life, that was my norm, until I joined the US Marine Corps and reported for boot camp in sunny Southern California on the last day of July. I was stationed in California for the next eleven months, when I transferred to Hawaii. From Hawaii, I deployed aboard ship in the Western Pacific for six months at a time, hitting ports of call such as the Philippines, mainland Japan, Okinawa, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, etc. After every overseas deployment, my unit did about eight months back in Hawaii, our home base. During my five years in Hawaii, I deployed overseas three times. All in all, I had about six years away from cold, snowy weather, so I got spoiled. If I never see snow again, I'll be the happiest camper around.) ~

I miss having Winter living here in a tropical climate. I like four distinct seasons and down here it's sand and palm trees 12 months a year. I love being close to family but I'm looking at some property up in the northern part of the state. That area has the same climate at Georgia and Alabama....four seasons and some hills. Down here it's flat as a flitter. (I know it's supposed to be fritter but down south that just sounds wrong.)
All my life I've been hearing from people who are/were accustomed to four seasons and who now miss not having them. I don't disparage folks who think that way, it's just that I don't number myself among them. I love hot weather, and I prefer living in a hot climate. I think if I could live closer to the Equator, I would equate that with pure bliss. (Did you see what I just did there?) ~
NAH, no need for fascination ..."We say "Eh?", you say "Y'all." Ya we both got pro football, 'cept we got bigger balls and a longer field, and one less down. We say "zed", you say "zee" Sure we watch all your TV You got stronger army down there, but, man, up here We got stronger beer"
What do you think? :) I only speak French for my employment, and with my moms side of family. My dad side Italian but they mostly speak English. So best with French, good English and scattered bits Italian. Also was married Italian... so know all the best swear and angry words ;)
