I'd prefer to live in a world where chickens aren't eaten by people named Tom, Dick or Harry.

Tom, Dick, and Harry can discuss all they would like.  I know they are betting on why I am here.  I've been clucking on the other side of the road with all their  money for years !

This is WHY I cross the road!!!

CLUCK! CLuck!! cluck!! CLUCK!!  ruffling my feathers in all the dough... CLUCK! CLuck! CLUCK! cluck!!!

    ... I'm guessing here Slartibartfast
But possibly because The Möbius strip or Möbius band, also spelled Mobius or Moebius, is a surface with only one side and only one boundary. The Möbius strip has the mathematical property of being unorientable. It can be realized as a ruled surface. Wikipedia

Ergo, the answer is "to get to the same side".

So that one side would be the same side if it didn't have an end?  My goodness! You are running circles in my head.  It only has one side so it is a continual circle,  Correct?  Or does it make a figure 8?

  • Though I'm not exactly an advocate for pedestrian poultry. I think they deserve some freedom of expression without having their motives questioned by the higher life forms. (Some of whom aren't that adept at road crossing themselves)
