You must be held up indoors or are naturally hot-blooded. Our temps are similar, just stupid cold. 

I only go out if necessary.

Oh man.  Don't buy a space heater.  Those things cause fires.  I think you need lots of sweaters.

The front room heater unit I meant. However, i do use a space heater in the Parrots room. The kind that looks like a loaf of bread cut up in slices. It doesnt glow or anything, just heats from in between the slices. Is that one dangerous too?

They are generally safe. Just check the cord everyday make sure it is not hot. Make sure it has the auto shut off in case of a tip over and keep burnable materials safely away from it. And never run on an extension cord.

I found out my house doesn't have heat.  I don't know if it's supposed to or not but when I turned it on to check, nothing. Not a hiccup.  I feel sure the home inspector would have checked it but don't care enough to look up that report.   I have three little Delongi  heaters that are great; they were all I used when I lived in Washington because my apartment up there had baseboard heat and I refused to deal with such a backassward thing.  The little Delongi heaters are great and when they discontinued them I bought four.

Ive never heard of Delongi heaters. You say they are discontinued? Bummer. I would have liked to try one. ;)

They may have other models but these particular  heaters were discontinuted in 2012; that's when I ordered four from BrandsMart.  That place used to offer unbelievable deals but the last few times I cruised it I found nothing of interest.  

You tell me.  I don't want to spook you.  Just be careful with those things. 

I am a firestarter.  I can't have anything combustionable around me it seems. 

We'll thaw out eventually, I imagine.

Yes, that is a problem for a lot of people. I had a professor who didn't know how to act. He had just moved into the state and couldn't get over the fact that in Phoenix you only need a coat in March, and then you only wear it inside.
