Once I accidentally drooped a 30 foot fir tree on my head and I bet no one else here has done that. I was falling a fir tree and it bounced off the branches of another tree and starting falling my way - I ran but the top end of the tree landed on my head - if I was a cartoon it would of pounded me into the ground. Cheers!
I have done at least 100 things that I KNOW no AM member ever has done.
What year of my life do you want?
What decade?
Do you want the sober part or the other part?
Do you want the romantic part?
Do you want the search for God part?
Pick one.
Let's see, I rolled off a cliff with my car in Sedonna and it overturned twice before landing on it's hood and I had not one scratch on me. That was cool
Right before it happened, I witnessed a UFO. I watched it for a good 1/2 hour.
I hitchhiked to Colorado from Chicago in the worst blizzard of the 80's and got there in 24 hours.
Oh, now I am just rambling. I have TONS of stories.
(like your tree story too)
Absolutely and there are way to many to count or recite, but I did have one thing happen that will forever be etched in my head...
I was 17 and was coming back from a weekend with friends in the White mountains of NH. It was late at night and we ran out of gas on a very secluded part of the highway. I was very intoxicated on beers and something else which I will not mention so it made perfect sense at the time for me to be the one to hitchhike to a gas station. (The stupidity of youth)
It was very dark and raining like hell. After about an hour, a car pulled up and the passenger door swung open for me to hop in.
Like an ass, I dove in to get out of the rain and failed to notice that it was a NH state police officer. I also did not notice that his hat was resting on the passenger seat and before he could move it, I sat on it!
I still remember what he said, "I just got that hat blocked!"
I got a ride to a gas station and BACK by a really pissed off cop.
When I got back to my buddies, my cop-driver had already called in the location of my friends . There were two more cops there who had searched the car, found several of my friend's stash. Luckily, they let us go.
I laugh about it now, but it was not a fun, joyous time for anyone.
