Curry......the stench alone makes me gag..... Food is meant to be enjoyable ,never to burn your mouth and throat....

All curry? I love mild/ medium yellow curry, especially in Thai dishes. I don't enjoy spicy red curries and such.

Yes ,all...none of my family eat it......the house reaks for ages after cooking it and you can't get the smell out of  fabrics, furniture  or clothing either.....I have once tasted a mild one and had to spit it out ....

My dad had someone who worked for him ....he ate really hot curries ,his whole body stank from and no one would go near him.....lol

That is because you grew up eating British food. Boring. I have never seen a 'British Food" restaurant anywhere I have ever been.

What? The Brits love curry. Heinz even sells curried beans there.
Also, there are British restaurants. The big one here is Cornish Pasty Company. Sooooo good. For the most part, though, you'd get British food from various pubs. I used to go to some of the family-owned/ operated ones just to listen to the accents. lol

Britain's contributions to international haute cuisine are porridge (oatmeal), fish and chips (proper chips, not those abominations you call "French fries' despite their not being French - English chips are thick cut, half a dozen is an entire potato) and Scotch whisky. I'm prepared to forgive them a multitude of sins for the last. Single malt Islay by preference. This post was edited by Slartibartfast at January 22, 2018 7:06 AM MST

You forgot another favourite British dish.  Over-boiled anything.

I'm not a fan of curry either. It's not the heat - I eat raw jalapeños and enjoy them - I just don't like the flavour. My better half likes Indian food, when she gets a craving for it I order take out from the Mexican place next door.

Yoghurt. It looks like hockers from someone with a sinus infection. I have also seen it under a microscope. Cute spirally bacteria.

Agreed. Ick. Soured milk. I'll eat it under sufferance, I don't enjoy it.

Ooh, yeah. I like that one, too, though, but perhaps it's more because I was raised on it.

There are so many foods I thought I would never try.  I think this has to be one of the last foods I just can't do it.  I have no idea why since I do like cabbage prepared other ways.

It has a strong odor and flavor- understandable. Do you eat pickles, or do those gross you out too?
