I guess I thought you were more of a computer guy and I know that you have talent in that area. It's interesting to learn more about people on the site.
Mostly any job about the home or even vehicles.....My dads a builder, mechanic as are my three brothers..... i would bunk of school,to work with my dad...
I fix my own computers, sometimes other family member's computers. My mother works with computers and taught me how to fix them whenever mine had a problem so I wouldn't bug her about it. She fixed computers all day and didn't want to have to do it on her time off. She was pretty amazed how fast I learned just by watching. I also do minor repairs around the house, but with plumbing and electricity, I'd rather not mess with that. And for some reason I have a huge fear of pipes..that's why I can't do plumbing..
Most everything other than car repairs and major home repairs. We have an HOA which takes care of the yards. I used to go for pedicures but started doing that myself when I found out I could buy the same tools and products that they used at Sally's. I always cut my own hair for a while and then go to a salon so they can even it up. I clean my own house. I don't want anyone in my home fooling with my stuff. I handle my own taxes and money management for the most part.
I could tell that you are self-sufficient. I would give much the same answer, except my reason for doing my own pedicures is the lack of hygiene in most nail salons.
Yes, you have to be picky about that. The state and county laws here seem to be more stringent than some others......that's what the Vietnamese people who own the salon said. I remember the first time I went for a pedicure I went to one closer to my home. The guy me I asked too many questions. I I took my feet out of the swirly water and left. :)
I've read many times about the dangers of fingernails and letting them put on the fake ones. I remember my daughters wanting to get those fake nails and I would not allow it. I've never let them touch my hands either.
