How much longer until Kmart and Sears are out of business?

I have been wondering that for a long time. I thought K-Mart folded in 2004. I thought Sears was going to fold in 2008 when the store here closed.

Probably soon. But I hope not.

I see a future of civilizations of people just sitting alone in their individual abodes, never having to venture out and interact with another human (other to procreate). Everything will be via computer or whatever.
Yeah, I'm in sort of a pissy mood.
    :(

So soon that if you own any of their stock, it’s already too late to unload it.

I don't know, they've been dying forever but they just won't let go. They sure are troopers.

True. I quit buying from Sears about 1967 because service was so incredibly lousy for me and everybody I knew. I stopped buying from K-mart about 1980 for the same reason. And they both are still kicking.

Don't worry, no one will notice when it finally happens.

I actually find it sad.  The Kmart store here was closed about a year ago.  I went in there right before Christmas a couple of years ago and I think I was the only customer in there.  They had great buys and I bought a basket full when I went in there to get just a couple things.  The Walmart up the street had a packed parking lot.  This is one of the saddest things about Americans........advertising works.  I don't watch TV and if I do I don't even hear the ads.     I've heard people say Let's go get a burger and never have a thought about going somewhere besides McDonalds.  McDonalds!!!!   I find this plain sad.   I'm glad to say I generally swim against the tide in these regards.
