No. Animals have the entire outdoors to call home. They change their homes when they feel like it. Because an animal doesn't have a people house to live in is no reason for pity. The crime of it all is that many animals have been crossbred to the point they may not be able to take care of themselves outdoors where they belong. Humans should feel guilty about that!
I wish I could rescue every animal that needs rescuing. If I won a big lottery, I would buy a large piece of land and have two farms - a puppy farm where they could run around to their hearts content until they were adopted, and a farm for aging dogs that no one wants or can't afford to keep.
