no, i hate snow for that reason, i wear ice bugs in the snow, theyre hiking boots and the bottoms are made to walk on ice, i also walk around with a backpack on wheels so i can walk around holding the handles and not fall
The biggest risk to your health is the fall. So, I've come up with a way to get around that. By laying on down on your front, and crawling. Impossible to fall. Just wear plenty of layers to keep your body temp good.
I find a bit of snow on top of the ice helps me keep balanced -- the snow adds a bit of traction on top of the ice surface - - but plain old sheets of ice with nothing on top of them - - that's when I tend to slip. :)
