    My school years have breached over 67 years.  I seem to be the perpetual student.

    I'm still not very bright either.

    I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for you to get through school as a gay person especially in the past. It must have been frustrating and depressing and confusing at times. I feel for you, thank you for sharing.

    Choose two parents and four grandparents more carefully. My mother's mother died while she was young and her father split up the family, sending kids to relatives in different states. My father's father got religion and moved to a farm in Tahellangone, Utah and Grandma left him. So I was born to two parents who had no idea how to raise kids.

    Play sports instead of working.
    Hit on a few of the hot teachers.
    Ask for more advanced work as I was always bored. They didn't offer any, though.
    Applied to the Naval Academy.
