Personally, I have come to the position that while white lies are evaluated as moral issues that may be the wrong category into which to place and judge them.
The more I understand that truth is the conformity of the mind to that which exists, I think it more appropriate to consider them as social intercourse within a dyadic interaction pattern.
And I think that paradigm extrapolates rather well.
