They weren't trendy at the time, but I was the first student to wear blue jeans in my high school. I got a lot of strange and some nasty looks, but there were no rules against wearing them. It's all mom could afford. I thought they were cool.
My teens? My mom and dad both worked. My mom liked clothes and spoiled me rotten.
I would never wear the same outfit in one month. There is a reason. I escaped from Catholic Grade School.
I had to wear the same thing for 8 years straight. An ugly uniform, complete with a tie.
UGH.
So, I really did not follow any trend. I had license to SHOP baby and I probably had no other people who had the wardrobe I had, in the entire school. I had girlfriends who came over just to raid my closet. I didn't care. It was fun.

Yep. I made my own skirts and tops.....that looks just like me in high school and the years after, well, not the person though. I had dark hair and people always asked if I was Chinese. I just said no. That went on until I was about 45.
I still like fringe on leather articles.

I jumped hard on board that piercing wagon. Luckily I was/am smart enough to not load up on facial piercings. It’s very tacky. I’ve taken most out in the last few years though. My nostril piercings never close up so sometimes I’ll still wear some nice hoops. Other than that I just have tongue, lobes and dem nips.
Everything trendy from 1963 to 1969. This is quite the insanely broad spectrum. Considering that in 1963 they had just invented pantyhose. You had to wear dresses and nylons or some stocking, to school and no sandals or open-toed shoes as a rule.
Then you progress to 1969 and kids are wearing jeans to school and no bras.
So, I did all the fashion trends and wound up with no fashion at all. That was the fashion.
