I'm the older of two.  My parents only had the two of us.

Eldest of seven (not counting a stillborn older sister). The eldest but NOT the biggest. Younger siblings can expect hand-me-downs, do you have any idea how galling it is to get hand-me-UPs? This post was edited by Slartibartfast at February 25, 2018 11:28 AM MST

I'm the eldest of four.  To my knowledge, neither of my parents had children with any person than each other.

I'm the forth of six kids of both my mum and dad.... Neither of our parents were allowed to mess about with othes ,as kids we just would not have tolerated it and we all made sure they knew their boundaries ...

This we found essential  if we were to keep them on their toes  .... We never held much stead in spare the Rod and spoil the parent....:(
