Thanks. I just googled her. You seem to have very interesting and eclectic taste when it comes to movies, actors and actresses. Did you ever work in film?
Not really, no. My extent of work in film is being an extra in the movie "The Shawshank Redemption" and also in a small budget film I portrayed a police lieutenant with speaking lines.
As far as Veronica Cartwright, I've just noticed over the films I've watched at how honest she comes across in every role I've ever seen her in. Incredible! She's been my favorite actress for quite some time.
The movies I've seen her in -- she makes each film better by being in it
"The Birds" "The Children's Hour" (those two were when she was a child actress)
as an adult ~
"The Witches of Eastwick" - - she STEALS the movie away from the bigger-budget stars in her role
"Alien" "The Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (the 1977 version)
Funny - - those may be the only movies I've seen her in but to me no one has topped her portrayals in those movies, especially the three I've seen her in in her adult roles. With those roles, she became my favorite actress. :)

Thank you for sharing. It is amazing when certain actors stand out within scenes and stealing those scenes from bigger named actors. Just last night I was watching the new movie "Geo Storm" with my child. The movie is ok, but there's a few scenes in it where Gerard Butler's character is talking to his daughter. She's a young girl, but the emotion that she gives to her few scenes was really quite impressive. I remember thinking "Wow, she's quite a little actress." So I know what you mean by certain actors being able to make a movie better just by being in it. Anyway, I appreciate your thoughtful response. Thanks. : )
May I recommend, if you haven't seen it, the movie "Savannah Smiles"? You and your child both, I'd bet, would really like it. I love it. The young actress - - I forget her name now - - Bridget Anderson, maybe? - - she's terrific and the movie is wondrous. :)
Mine is a relative named Rina Takeda who is now age 26. She began Karate at age 10. At age 17, she auditioned for and won the starring role in "High Kick Girl". In it, she attends a dojo whose teacher is quite strict, so he has only given her a brown belt. She goes to other dojos and challenges sensei with high level black belts. She beats many of them and takes their belts. In one scene she fights the entire school and beats them all. She is quite a Karate prodigy. She has been in many ore movies and TV shows by now.
