~ I've only heard it in Edgar Allen Poe's poem "The Bells" -- and I just read that he had invented the word. Though the resources to back the claim up I didn't look for.

AYE-AYE - A species of Lemur familiar to all for its exceptionally long fingers. Which reminds me of the old-time British comedian who joked: What I want to know is, what do they do with the rest of the fish after they cut the fingers off? (Once heard, never forgot.)
Tutu, titi (a small monkey from South America), dada, nana. There are lots of them. And we shan't forget aa, a type of lava rock.
