Sunny and around 40 degrees today, but breezy. This, on the heels of 24+ solid hours of snow which left about 14" of snow in my area. This was the fourth nor'easter in four weeks. I've had enough snow!
Today it's partly sunny and will be in the low 40s. Most of the snow is gone from the sidewalks and roads - just some left on the grassy areas and at the curbs. It was almost 50 yesterday afternoon, so a lot of it melted.
Where AZ and CA meet MX, the temps have been going up and down. Night has been down to 40F several times, and some nights never got below 60F. Day temps have been 60F to 90F. Right now it is mid-afternoon and 78F.
It really WAS pretty. March snow is very do-able. It melts fast, so it's not a terrible thing when it happens if it don't affect you losing the power or anything like that.
Hee hee, Same here. The good news is, is most of that is gone now. It's not particularly warm here yet, but late March sun does do a lot to melt a heavy, wet snow.
I used to have a professor from Texas who gripe gripe griped about weather in Phoenix. He kept saying "You only need a coat in March, and then you only wear it INSIDE!
Here in metro Vancouver BC, we had 22*C and Sun last week but this week it's been 7 degrees with wind, rain, hail etc. It's been feeling like December for the last 4 to 5 days.
