What's the longest stay you've had in a hospital, and what was it for?

Four days to remove upper right lobe of my lung; first stage cancer.
That was last February. 56 years cigarette smoker.

Four days. Punctured lung.

I've been pretty lucky to date.

I stayed overnight once after an arthroscopic ankle surgery (in my early 20s).

Three days for a surgically reconstructed left knee. Auto accident.

I have never been admitted to a hospital.

Good it was caught early. Hope you've given up smoking.

Caused by a fall? My uncle punctured his lung a couple of years ago by falling and fracturing a rib which went through his lung.

Just over 3 weeks... I was on a life support machine and put into a drug induced coma. I nearly died..I was very lucky.

I would rather not say the reason.

I know I was in for 3 or 4 days when I was young (before age 12, I believe), but I can't remember what it was for.

Yup. It's fun to be here.

Yeah I went to emergency because of chest pain, was no indication what caused chest pain but they discovered the lung tumor. Pain not associated with lung cancer until later stages.

All's well that ends well, thank heaven.

5 days car wreck while pregnant. I crushed some vertebrae in my neck. I am fine and so is the baby...now grown with her own babies.
