    They can't. Although their assumptions, conjecture, and opinions are useful page fillers, they don't have nearly the staying power of facts. As always, just my opinion. :)

    Sometimes force is a very necessary evil in dealing with some social problems.  (The concept of) "the wall" is just a very powerful symbol and tool artistically, socially and politically.  It expresses might, dominance, limitation and isolation as well as community and union.  Like so many other "platforms" it's HOW it's used rather than the fact THAT it is used.

    The walls never do what they were supposed to do and the nations that built them eventually collapsed. 

    Of course, nations that don't build walls also eventually collapse. It's the concept of a nation that is a failure every time. Only 21 countries have governments older than a century. (Most of them are in South America, where a coup does not usually mean a new government.)
