    I notice that the one item came from an insider, and banks don't have insiders like that. That is to say generals are often philosophers, and bankers never are.

    If you believe that, you haven't been paying attention.
    We've been warned about banks for hundreds of years.

    And even further ... before there were official banks.
    Where do you think the stereotype against Jews as financiers comes from?
    (It's from when one of the few professions Jews were allowed was as financiers and jewelers)

    Actually I did see another such warning, this one about 'The US Prison industrial complex' growing out of control.

    Maybe it happens because industrial leaders see "becoming a part of government" as a way to become a legal monopoly that does not have to worry about anti-Trust laws.
