I suppose the water could cycle like that. No...it was never flat. Originally it was molten and liquids form spheres.

I've never heard of molten liquid :)

Molten means melted. The original earthe soo after formation was all magma.

Well see. I think it's like one of those self-contained water features... the water does run off, but there's a huge pump ready to pump it all back up again.

Oh Nice, you should SEE the stuff they claim is science and what is now JUNK science as if we all have fallen into Alice's hole and I don't mean the same type of hole that Trump fell into when he met Stormy Daniels.  Not the porn lady hole, but the hole where logic and proportion have fallen sloppy dead and the White Knight's talking backwards and the Red Queen's off with  your head....

Sorry, I digressed, too much LSD residue from the 60's.  We are backwards plunging towards Watergate again.  We hate education.  Now it is Trump land whereverything's as Trump says it is.  And Trump is VERY uneducated.

So, those people who think the Earth is flat voted for Trump.  I'm serious.  They think he is a stable genius like they all are.  Stable.  Genius.  Think on that for awhile.  Then hang on to your hat, it's going to get way worse before it gets better.

First of all the earth cannot be flat nor a disc.  Look at the sun and look at the moon.  You see their full shape. ORBS.  If you study gravitational pull, you can see this cannot be.  How does the Earth manage to "spin" around everything else that is round and not ever flip over?

So, everything else is rotating around an axis, and we are for some reason only the flat no brain earther's plainly see, the disc just freely stays "afloat" while only turning in one direction and one linear direction only.

How?  How, FLAT MORON EARTHERS? HOW?

Anybody who has stood on an oceanside cliff, knows there is a curve to the Earth's surface.
People knew it for thousands of years before Columbus.  He just gets credit for "proving" the Earth is round, thanks to the newly-invented pressing machine.

The question really is ... how did Atlas and Akupara originally meet, and decide to hold up the world?
And do they have a schedule for taking turns, or is it just when one gets tired the other steps in?
And what do they eat?!?  Or is that where the idea of Galacticus come from?
For that matter, where does Galacticus get rid of his waste?!?

The water wouldn't run off if it was in the middle of all the land. Every time you sail somewhere, there is always land on the other side.

The laws of physics dictate why things are the way they are. Why the earth is actually a spheroid, and how it’s gravity pulls water into the low contours of the earth’s crust.
The earth could not be flat AND still possess sufficient gravity to retain oceans and our atmosphere.

Right.  If the earth were (note to self: Ask Randy if we should use was or were here) flat, all the water would spin off into space, splashing over what ever land was around the edges.  It would be a lot like if you put a some dirt around the edge of a record and made a big puddle in the middle.  If you then spin the record around at 33 revolutions per minute, you make a mess on the carpet.  Is there carpet in outer space?
Anyway, shall we meet for tea while my wife and I are nearby? This post was edited by CallMeIshmael at April 24, 2018 8:02 PM MDT
