We've talked about this before and I still know I would never allow strangers to come into my home and use my stuff. I also would not want to go into someone else's home and have to use theirs. This is not for me. :)
It's not that bad. Most people are pretty respectful. I did have one family though that lost my mask and fins, an ice chest and broke the lock on our car. That cost about $400 to fix but we saved more than $2,000 by not having to get other accommodations. It has been great for us. This summer we're going to England and Scotland for six weeks. That would not be possible otherwise.
