    You would love it WelbyQuentin. I use it to meditate and help with my anxiety. By tracing the rim of the crystal bowl with a special stick that comes with it, it creates a lovely sort of humming sound. You can change the octave of the humming by applying more pressure to the stick, or by going faster or slower around the bowl as you humm and relax. I love it, and its truly helped with my anxiety. ;))

    Its worth a shot. Mine only cost 99 dollars and is made of really high quality quartz crystal. They are pretty to look at too. Mine looks exactly like the one in my questions picture.. They come in wood too (i think) . Im new to this too, i just desperately needed something , besides meds, to deal with my anxiety. This humming bowl seems to help a lot. ;)

    Ok, I'm guessing now. It's a basin. You stick your face in it and go "OMMM" and the bowl goes "OM-M-M!!!!" like it's something really spiritual.

    Your sort of right on the first count, but instead of sticking your face in the bowl, or using it for potato salad, you drag a stick that comes with it around the rim to make a sort of eery  OM-M-MMMMM sound. Its really quite delightful . ;+

    They are actually very relaxing. The sound that comes from it helps me meditate. I love it. ;)

    I know people who have had them and you have to be careful because if you hit them too hard or in the wrong place they will crack.
