You mean pre-wash, like before I wash them? That is self-contradictory. If I pre-wash my kumquats, then they don't need to be washed, and that means the pre-wash is actually the wash. So then the question becomes "Do you pre-pre-wash your kumquats?"
Do you actually know what a kumquat is? I worked for a while in a motel with trees that produced tiny egg shaped lemons. A long time later I learned that kumquats are in fact tiny egg shaped lemons. The botanists reclassify them to a different family every now and then.
