Discussion»Questions»Science and Technology» Bringing average maintenance and driving style into account, how long and/or how many miles would a typical Yugo GV last until breakdown?
What can you say about a car that lost its country?
Essentially a rebadged Fiat, you're lucky if you get 30,000 miles without trouble - and given that the very newest one rolled off the assembly line 10 years ago, you won't get one with low mileage. They rust if they get breathed on and spare parts are patently unavailable. It's probably worth more as scrap.
Heh, I'm a Yugo--been running for almost 30 years now, without breaking down too often.
This was asked 6 years ago, so I guess the question has been resolved one way or another. I still see these cars around, here in Serbia, and they seem pretty useful to those who are mechanics as much as they are drivers.
