So why is fishing called angling? And how did England get its name?

Well, it all began in Belgium. There was a peninsula called Angull. Angull means angle, and a fish hook is angled, and the peninsula was angled, and fishing was the main industry there, so it all fit together so logically.

One day the people packed up and went looking for a new place to live. They crossed the channel and settled on one of the islands over that way. Since the people were already called "Angullers", they named their new home "Angull Land". In French it is still called "Angleterre". And there is still a province in Belgium named Angull. There is a province in India with the same name, and that makes it hard to search the story.
