I just rescued a Bubble Bee from my porch. She was so sweet. She just layed there until i gently guided her out the screen door. Her body was firm, like a mammal, and her vibe was thankful and in tune with mine.
They sound creepy to me, though - - almost like a little motor roaring. Just two days ago I saved a yellow-jacket from the inside of my house. It took me about ten minutes for me to maneuver it to the outside but I didn't want to kill it. I usually try to rescue and release such critters, too. :)
Yes I do. They are top pollinators and the honeybees have disappeared. Last year I had an underground nest. My wife was afraid of them, but I let them do their thing. I hope they come back.

I don't mind them. But when there's lots of them at once they can be a bit frightening. I have lots of columbine growing along my back sidewalk, and it seems that only bumblebees (and carpenter bees) will pollinate them. So when they're in bloom (like now) the bumble bees are prolific right where I have to walk. unlike honeybees, bumblebees don't take it so kindly if you accidentally "bump into them" when walking past.
Are you sure its the bumblebees who get upset when you bump into them? I bump into them all the time and all they do is just kind of stay put and give me a dirty look. hhahha ;oo
