    Whoever these “some people” are, I salute their blissful ignorance.

    I can read and speak Italian, Spanish and (some might say) English, and the benefits of multilingualism (today’s word, Randy) are well known to those of us who possess the ability. I honestly wish I could speak many more.

    I don't know about that. I don't really know any and its not because I don't want to but rather because I don't do so well learning languages and don't want to spend the time required to do that.  But certainly I would like to know some.
