If you had been able to select your own name, would it have been the one your parent(s) selected for you? Why or why not? ~

    I would have chosen the name "Odd". And I would put instructions in my will that when I died, my name was not to be put on my headstone. That way when people came to visit the cemetery they would see my blank headstone and say "Isn't that Odd?"

    I would not. I would have picked a name that could not be shortened, mispronounced or misspelled. (Jane, for example, which is not my real name).

    I don't mind my name since I grew up, but as a kid I was the only person with  my name that I knew and it embarrassed me.  Kids kind of made fun or would just ask why I was named Xxxxxxxxxx.  It's no longer so unheard of.
