If someone asks for a clarification of a response I give, I'm happy to clarify, but I don't feel I need to justify it.

    No.

If I'm asserting something as fact, I will provide links, quotes, etc. to back up my assertion.

What do you mean?  Why did you post this question? What's this all about?

I hope you know I was playing along with the theme of what you asked, just joking around.

The gif seemed fitting regardless and I never thought for a moment you needed calming down.................this time.

It seems that I'm a master manipulator and didn't even know it.

One time someone understood the exact opposite
of what I had posted in response to her question...
Then she berated me, put me down, called me names,
    unfriended me, all
because she misread what I had said.
    When I told her that
she had misread what I had said, she refused to answer.
When I again explained that she had misread the answer,
    she refused to answer.
...so yeah, in my own corner of understanding
    I felt the need once...hahaha

I firmly believe that most people on the internet masquerade as friends to others. That very thing has been proven in my life time and time again.

Wow, you too?  I thought that I was the only one to whom that has happened!

  • I often try and provide some kind of explanation or justification to an opinionated answer of mine, but not always. I don't owe anyone here an explanation. Providing an explanation would be purely for my benefit, so that I might not be misconstrued.

Sometimes when I speak like in parables or riddles but usually  just if anyone asks to explain what I mean.

NO; if others disagree, it will just make for more argument.

No, that's not at all what would happen!  How could you believe something as far-fetched as that?  You know, it's people like you and ideas like that that drive me up a wall.  I sure do wish youd change your lopsided perspective!  Grrrrrrrrrr.
