    Where I ate,  lived and slept -parents,  hotels, trains,  ships, camper van, cottage, but when I don't want  a roof OVER my head...

    Too numerous to count. Every time I go indoors, there is a roof over my head. Except on Navy ships, where they are called 'overheads'.
