Which is worse: a worst first that you've experienced, or a first worst that you've experienced? ~

A worst  first experience is  kind of traumatizing/frightening; a first worst experience could be something a little more tolerable.

  • Probably the latter.

I kind of expect that the first time I try something new I'm likely to be unskillful and incompetent.
Beginner's luck aside, the first time is usually the worst - so it doesn't bother me.
I just keep at it till I learn how to do it well, and often keep striving in the hope of excellence.

But when a first worst comes along, that's a shock. It hits hard and takes quite a few weeks or months to fully recover.
