Is it fair to call the Trump régime a "personality cult"?

Given the way his indoctrinated worshippers keep swigging the poisoned Kool-Aid, is it fair NOT to? Anybody who publishes anything pointing out a lie, backflip or gaffe by their god is immediately decried as "fake".

    I think it is fair. I’m not aware of any other demagogues who rose to prominence without it. 

    I get that the word ”cult” is considered to have a negative connotation, but given the subject here, it fits like a glove.
