Those are all good, but I still gotta have my meat. Big salad for supper yesterday.

I have come to thrive on mostly what is now called a "plant-based" diet and it also helped rid my body from all the drugs I consumed in youthful folly. But I don't think just a matter of choosing plants but of how we organize and balance them. Different foods have different qualities and they must all work together. I stick to very much a grain-based with vegetable diet and try to use mostly what will be healthy for me and for my husband. Whose blood pressure went way down eating the food I prepared.

Eh, my diet is already mostly plant-based, but I'm trying to get more meat in my diet. I just don't like it as much as vegetables so I don't eat it so often.

You are way better off and probably warding off a lot of health issues meat eventually brings.

I think a little meat is okay, but some people definitely eat too much of it. Heck, people eat too much of everything nowadays. I think the biggest problem is that fast food slop. I can't even eat that anymore because it upsets my stomach so much after getting accustomed to healthier food.

Its amazing how fast our body gets used to the good food, and no longer accepts the bad food as acceptable.LOl

It's religious. My bible says to eat whatever is sold in a grocery store.

  • My doctor told me, "If it weren't for vegans and vegetarians, our local hospital would have had to close its doors."

So the secret is out ... be a vegan and get your protein from your doctor or local hospital. :) This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at June 26, 2018 6:26 AM MDT
